The bogie hearth furnace is the ideal system for heating large parts (such as: metallic carpentry, heavy mechanical parts, fittings, flanges and anchor curves, steel products and other).
The bogie hearth furnace consists of an insulated fixed structure, heated by electric burners or heating elements and by a mobile base, which fully supports the weight of the material to be treated. The translation of the hearth outside the fixed structure can be done on rails, controlled by a gear motor.
A particular type of bogie hearth furnace is the double-bogie hearth and double-door furnaces, which help to reduce loading and unloading down times.
The bogie hearth furnaces, thanks to their gradual heating and cooling functioning and their natural thermal inertia, usually envisage the use of automatic flow gas recirculation or recirculation burner, which can drastically reduce emissions and consumption.
